MetaHuman, written by Deepak Chopra. And then God showed up… ~ The Bohemian Athlete
As I’m growing rapidly and developing, uncovering the metahuman that I AM, I’m finding old paradigms and dynamics no longer work, no longer serve me, my spirit, my relationship with God. I’m finding the old dynamics are creating friction in my relationship with God. And that is not okay.
In becoming or in accepting, rather, my meta-humanness, I am experiencing waves of radical fear, like the weather outside right now, blasts of wind that are so powerful it feels, at times, hard to breathe. Like the wind punched out of my gut at a record-setting blow to my insides. I can see that I have a choice in the matter. I can call it fear or anxiety or a form of pain… OR I can call it exponential growth and change within my being-ness, within my self who is becoming my Self. I choose the latter.
What I’m also realizing is my true nature yearns to remember the metaphysical- something like astrophysics or quantum physics. A topic of study on this level, this caliber of study, understanding, and incorporation, it seems, is an essential part of my DNA and birthright.
How I will engage with it, the study, and to what extent, this is not clear to me now. But as I continue to sort through this book “MetaHuman”, I believe my deepest questions will be answered as even deeper questions begin to emerge.
As I reach this point of no return (it’s happened again and again as one door- big ones- have closed, new, deeper, more intriguing doors open in rapid succession), I must remember to breathe. To not reach out to those around me, but instead, listen to Father God, as He speaks loudly, clearly, into my consciousness and into my heart. He reminds me to trust Him. I tell Him He is so powerful; He could break me at any moment. He reminds me this is sovereignty. An Almighty God doing Almighty things in my life, for me, to me, through me. That I’m reaching a deeper anchor.
“Do not look at the outside, the tops of the trees flying around, but instead look at the trunks, which are not moving an inch. This is who you are,” He tells me so.
Go deeper.
Outside I went. Into the heartbeat of the wind. In doing so, I realized it was not as overwhelming as it seemed inside from my bedroom window. Although strong and very powerful, when in the hub of it, I felt strong, powerful, and brave. This was a reminder that things aren’t always what they seem when looking from the outside.
This has me thinking about society and most humans. Wanting to look good on the outside to play tricks on other people, have them think they’ve got it all together- emulating outwardly something that may have taken decades for someone to perfect from the inside. This is not how it works.
In ultimate reality, it’s the work done from the inside out that is lasting, true. And no one can emulate it, no matter how hard they try. It will be a dead-end road for them.
To make matters worse, the world/ society rewards this emulation, this behavior. Promoting people who are people-pleasers, rewarding codependent work behavior, giving those employees who are the squeaky wheel a leg up on the competition. Rewarding those who neglect their health and well-being, stuff emotions, and say yes instead of those who set clear boundaries, put God first and family second, who put their own oxygen masks on first.
The world has it backwards. We know this. It’s Biblical. Yet why do believers continue to fall for the traps? How does one who is awakened even fit into this toxic mold? The quick answer is that we don’t. Not one iota. So that begs a new question. How do we, as those who are awake, create a life that is aligned with God and, through that life, live IN the world, not of the world? How do we anchor in Him as the trunks and roots of the tree, avoiding becoming the tips of the trees wailing around in the wind?
One Way- His Word. Asking Him to awaken us more, to see into His heartbeat, to understand His Ways, to receive His mercy, to live on our knees before Him, and wait until His time says “go”. There’s much to do in the meantime. Preparation is key. And the essential piece to the God- created puzzle and path.
Some don’t get close to Him because to take steps towards Him means loss of control otherwise. But for me, His full control over all aspects of my life is what I want most. Is it easy? Heavens no. But is it worth it? Absolutely yes!
So now, as I look outside my window, I see the limbs and leaves dancing wildly in the wind, yet instead of barely breathing, I remain focused on the trunks, which are not moving an inch, and my breath aligns with that inner anchor. My breath is normalized and peaceful. I am safe in Him no matter what weather, circumstances, or interactions come my way. I breathe; I’m grateful. After all, He is my breath; He is the trees; He is life.
This is metaphysics. I AM MetaHuman.
