“When she transformed into a butterfly, the caterpillars spoke not of her beauty, but of her weirdness. They wanted her to change back into what she always had been…but she had wings.” ~Dean Jackson
Where are you now? The frog asked the butterfly.
I’m here, I’m there, I’m everywhere, she said.
Well, in that case, take me with you.
I can’t take you with me, silly frog.
You have to access your own inner magical world and remember who you really are first.
Then you’ll remember that you have wings too
I have wings? The frog asked
Yes, silly frog. You have wings!
Frog found a mirror so he could see his reflection. Funny, he could seem to see his wings. All he saw was
a cheesy grin and a green skin suit.
But butterfly, I can’t see my wings.
They aren’t visible to the physical eye, silly frog
You simply trust they are there and take a leap of faith.
But what if I die? Frog asked
But what if you fly?
Butterfly, smiling, said a second time, “But what if you fly, frog?”
Frog thought for a minute and began smiling too… but what if I fly?, he repeated to himself.
Hmmm
So Butterfly went about her business, secretly watching Frog’s every move, able to sense his curiosity,
able to hear his every thought, knowing Frog was already flying, knowing Frog was already free… he
simply had to believe.
And within seconds, Frog transformed before her very eyes.
Frog was no longer a frog; he too became a butterfly.
And within seconds, Frog transformed before her very eyes.
Frog was no longer a frog; he too became a butterfly.
He believed he could fly, and so he did.
